“If re-elected, I will continue to work tirelessly with the district governance team (board & superintendent) to:
1. Keep our budgets focused on supporting programs that improve student outcomes and student engagement
2. Trust and verify that the district is following its policies and procedures in stewarding the community’s limited resources to meet its strategic goals
3. Complete the district’s first comprehensive policy review to update the framework under which the district operates
4. Increase opportunities to include community voice and expertise for board and district decision-making”

Transparency
𝙋𝙪𝙗𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙪𝙖𝙡 𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 alongside forecast spending in our annual budgets
Making recordings of 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙨𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙖𝙫𝙖𝙞𝙡𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮 so that members of the public can observe the inner workings of the board
Making 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙞𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙚 𝙢𝙚𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨 (i.e., Audit, Facilities, Policy and Technology) 𝙤𝙥𝙚𝙣 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮 along with their agendas, annual reports, and supporting documents

Completing a 𝙨𝙪𝙘𝙘𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙛𝙪𝙡 𝙨𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙘𝙝 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙖 𝙣𝙚𝙬 𝙨𝙪𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩 that incorporated community input into the process
Engaging the New York State School Board Association to help us conduct our 𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙝𝙚𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙥𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙘𝙮 𝙧𝙚𝙫𝙞𝙚𝙬 to review our framework for the operation of the school district

Launching the district’s 𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙘 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙣 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 - which focused on equipping all learners, building transformative environments, and designing professional learning systems;
𝙁𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝 𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙨 such as Effective School Solutions and social emotional screeners; and
𝙄𝙢𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙨𝙚𝙘𝙪𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙨𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙡 𝙘𝙖𝙢𝙥𝙪𝙨𝙚𝙨 by funding building improvements, security personnel, and AI-enabled video monitoring.
